Privacy Policy

Rendezvous respects your privacy. This is what we do, and what we don’t.

What we collect

Rendezvous keeps the following information on your device only:

• Big Day settings: the day you chose, the scene, the codename, the theme
• 16:8 records: the start and end time of each session, whether you kept the appointment
• Personal notes: weight entries, mood tags, three-question answers, break-of-fast markers, free-text notes
• Preferences: theme, voice style, privacy mode, whether Live Activity is enabled, and so on

All of this data lives in the local database (SwiftData) and system preferences (UserDefaults) on your phone. It never leaves your device.

What we don’t do

• No server. We have no backend. Your records never leave your phone.
• No ads. No banners. No interstitials. No targeted tracking.
• No analytics. No Firebase, no Sentry, no Mixpanel, no third-party analytics or crash SDKs of any kind.
• No remote AI. All copy is selected locally on your phone. We send nothing to remote models.
• No HealthKit. V1 does not integrate with Apple Health.
• No iCloud sync. V1 does not sync any data to iCloud.

V1.5 plans to offer a “preferences-only iCloud sync” toggle (off by default). When enabled, only theme and voice-style preferences are synced — never body data. We’ll ask for your explicit confirmation before turning it on.

Children’s privacy

Rendezvous is not directed at children under 13. We do not actively collect age information, but during Onboarding you may self-declare “under 18 / pregnant or nursing / a history of eating disorders / a medical condition or current medication.” In any of those cases, Rendezvous skips the 16:8 timing path — you can still use the Big Day countdown and the home screen companionship.

If you believe a minor has used Rendezvous without guardian consent, please email us at the address below. We will guide you through deleting all local data on that device.

Data retention

Your data lives on your device until you either wipe it manually (Self → Erase All Records) or delete the app.

We have no remote copy, so we cannot restore your data for you — that is the price of privacy. We encourage you to use the Export feature periodically to back up important records to your own cloud or local storage.

Your controls

You can, at any time:

• Export everything: in Self → Export Data, generate a JSON file you can share or back up anywhere
• Erase everything: in Self → Erase All Records, wipe all local data with one tap and return to first launch
• Delete the app: same effect as Erase — all data is gone with the app
